Arriving Somewhere

How did I miss this? On August 15th Anthony Williams, Mayor of Washington made the first entry on his blog! http://blog.mayor.dc.gov/

He’s gotten off to a rough start in terms of consistency, but who am I to complain? My favorite part is that visitors can leave comments. I didn’t expect someone as public as he to do that.

I thought this was funny:

…the blog is not a service request line. Then again, I’m a public servant and you’re the boss and you can use blog for whatever damn thing you like. And you can expect me to refer service requests to the proper agencies for disposition. I’ll also give you a comment on the policy implications of your request. You say jump and I’ll ask how high.

Seems like he’s pretty candid on his blog. Cool. We’ll see if he can keep it up though.
