Summerland
Published by Jonathan August 31st, 2005 in MiscPhew… what a summer!
I survived taking two courses during the same 6-week session - barely. Actually, I did quite well, but I would not have been able to keep that break neck pace for long. Last week I took a the entire week off work so that Katrina and I could get out of town for some much needed rest. We stayed at a great little B&B in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania near Lake Wallenpaupack. The weather was great! I caught up on my missed sleep, read a book (for fun!), did some hiking and pretty much took it easy.
Monday was back to work as well as the start of the fall semester here. The campus is once again swarming with students. I’ll be taking two classes this fall as well: Information Systems in Libraries, and Database Management. After looking at the syllabi, the semester promises to be quite busy.
Church continues to transition. With the influx of students, quite a few new faces showed up to our BBQ/worship mtg on campus. I am continually amazed at how mature some of these undergrads are. I sure didn’t have things so together when I was in there place. Worship band rehearsal have begun as well… our first public worship was a bit rough but I’m sure things will get better.
In any case, enough about me. What is this, a blog or something?

Best way to keep up on “The Life & Times of JMS”!
right?
